Shells before the storm

Tonight Jerry and I took our walk on the beach and I was so excited to see so many BIG shells. I think Tropical Storm Hanna is dropping off little presents before the storm. I told my grandchildren I would bring them some shells on my next visit.

I have been finding these cute itty bitty ones but it was so fun to finally find some BIG ones. I was having so much fun filling my bag. Jerry doesn't mind that I have taken up shell hunting b/c I don't power walk ( except when I wanted to get ahead of the lady looking for shells in front of me) and he can keep up with me. Carolyn said she liked the little ones but Seth wanted a big one. I am excited to have lots for him to choose from.

Take a LOOK!

Aren't they Great!

Here are my smaller ones.

I love these twirly ones. ( One for each of my grandchildren.)

Guess how many itty bitty ones in this jar. ( Leave it in a comment. I will post answer later.)

Carolyn likes these itty bitty ones!

5am wake up for a worthy reason

I started teaching seminary this week to High School teenagers. I must say it is the best way to start your day. To see the dedication and eagerness of my young friends come to class from 6:10 am-7:00am before school, is just the motivation I needed to spend so much time in preparation.

Today we all passed off our first scripture mastery! Yaaah, only 24 more to go! I have 2 guys and 2 girls. They are wonderful.

Take a look at my great group!

All smiles so bright and early!

We move to the comfy seats for the videos!

Hey Bo, lets go bowling!

Jacob and Jared and Kristen came down for the weekend. Saturday night we decided to go find some fun for the evening. The bowling alley won the vote and Jared and Jacob kept us laughing with their redneck voices. The pictures tell the story the best!

Check out those TUBE socks!

Now for son # 1

and son # 2

and son # 4

Kristen is not sure about the "Redneck Style"

Kim is always happy to have her boys home for a visit!

Kristen is so glad to see the ball going down the middle. She and David led the evening in gutter balls!

Watching all the excitement!

Jared doing his victory dance after his 3rd strike!

Jacob gives the victory wave as the High scorer , beating us in both games.

Jerry waiting on the outcome.
Jerry decides to try the wedgie approach...

Definitely not my better side. Great motivation to get out those exercise tapes!
( Now I know why I take the pictures. Jacob owes me big time for this shot!)

Happy ending to a fun night!

Flowers for me!

Aren't they cute? My favorite color too!

My friend Pat E. from Hartsville came to visit and she brought me pretty flowers and a cool room freshener for our house. It was fun to catch up on news and have lunch together. Wish I could have more friend days and less work days. That would be nice!

Trip to Atlanta

We had a wonderful time on our weekend trip to Atlanta to visit Shug and Trish. Jerry was stress free and we have not seen that in almost a year. We had fun being together at a Braves game and kept our record of not seeing them win. (I do think this was the first time of seeing them not even score a single run.) We did leave on a good note as they had a grand fireworks show after the game and it was a fun ending to our night.

I experienced playing the Wii for the first time, playing bowling. That was the coolest game! I have never found interest in game systems but I think Santa might need to drop a Wii off at our house this year. It was even neater playing it in Shug's media room on the huge screen.

Here are a few photos:

Going into the game. John, Paul, David, Shug, Trish and Jerry.

Happy Birthday Noah ( And Michael)

David and I went to the beach this morning and sent Noah a "smiley balloon" for his birthday.
We attached a note that said:

In Memory of Noah Thomas Coombs July 28, 2001-July 6, 2007
He loved Happy balloons!
If you find this balloon please call 919-269-0543 and wish his Mom a happy day, Thanks.

Here are our photos. ( When I got home and looked at my photos, I realized a little messanger appeared in the sky and maybe helped to take Noah his balloon!)

Take a look......

Under the Cherry Grove Pier

We miss you Noah

Ok, Noah here it comes.....

Going up, up and up!

I think someone came by to lend a wing from above.

We love you, our little Noah boy!

You will forever live in our hearts......
