Happy Birthday Noah ( And Michael)

David and I went to the beach this morning and sent Noah a "smiley balloon" for his birthday.
We attached a note that said:

In Memory of Noah Thomas Coombs July 28, 2001-July 6, 2007
He loved Happy balloons!
If you find this balloon please call 919-269-0543 and wish his Mom a happy day, Thanks.

Here are our photos. ( When I got home and looked at my photos, I realized a little messanger appeared in the sky and maybe helped to take Noah his balloon!)
Take a look......

Remember your first spiritual recollection?

As I was sitting in Sacrament meeting this morning I reflected on my earliest recollection of being in church or knowing about Jesus and Heavenly Father. I will share mine with you and then I would love to have you leave a comment on what is your earliest rememberance.

I remember at about 3 sitting on my Mom's lap in church, sucking my thumb and feeling her slip strap ( b/c I like, Carolyn needed a "silky" too) and feeling so happy and peaceful. I remember in Kindergarden our family living inOrangeburg, SC and kneeling for family prayer and thinking how big and strong my Dad was but how gentle and kind he sounded as he prayed for our family to Heavenly Father.

I am so thankful for good parents who knew that religion was important and layed a wonderful foundation for our family.

I will always be grateful to have found the gospel in my youth and learned the plan of salvation. I am thankful that my children have always had the gospel in their lives. I have so many blessings.

Now it's your turn!

Bailey's come to play

Thought you might like to see some little beach babies having fun in the sun! We played in the sand and mostly took turns being body guard to Kaitlyn who had no fear of the beautiful ocean waves and could take those chubby legs for a fast run right into them. David even decided to give up some sleep and wake up early to come and join us for a morning on the beach.

Youth Conference

Jerry and I were chaperons at David's first youth conference at Furman University. It was a long drive but we had a good time with 19 youth from our ward. I forgot how busy 3 days could be so filled with activites and dances. I was ready to get back to a nice private bathroom and my nice comfortable bed. (Dorm living and hall bathrooms get old real fast!)

July 4th

Jared and Kristen and Jacob and friends came for the holiday. We had hotdogs and Handy Pak Chili, watermellon and lots of desserts! We finally tried out the pool. The boys drug out the old nintendo, played wiffle ball, watched Nathan's hotdog eatting contest on TV, played on the beach , Kristen watched Andy Griffeth with Jerry and the loft made a great place for an afternoon nap.
Here are a few photos:

Summer days

The summer is moving way to fast but it has been so much fun. I have enjoyed getting to see so many family members as they come to enjoy the sunny beach. David went to scout camp for a week and enjoyed the hot sticky buggy woods. We went up on Wed. for family night. Jean and family came, Grandma and Gramps ,Libbi and family, DT and DD and Kerry and family. Make sure you check out David and Patti's shoulder of their sand treasure. Also Libbi won the prize for the coolest seashell!
