Wonderful Weekend

We arrived at Beth's on Friday evening and were greeted with lots of sweet hugs and kisses. We could here 4 little voices cheering Grammy and Granddaddy as we neared the door. Princess gowns and cool pj's were a big hit!

Saturday morning we headed out to my sister Libbi's to see her beautiful new house and enjoy a big breakfast. Yum! We all loved that. Libbi's grits and casserole and Grandma's biscuits just hit the spot.

Next, Libbi brought out a little family history...she opened a brown envelop that my grandmother had saved full of all the old letters we had written her through out our lives. It wasn't long before the room was filled with laughter and smiles. We divided each by name and everyone had a treasure bag to take home and cherish forever.

We just had a great time spending the morning together. Beth liked the nice cool chair in the family room. Connor, Sarah Beth and Grandma entertained Chloe and Uncle Jacob helped Seth explore the great outdoors at Aunt Libbi's.
We celebrated Kristen's birthday on Saturday evening. She wanted Meatloaf and mashed potatoes and a Chocolate cake. She got some really cute Red High heels from Jared that a few little females in the house just had to share the joy!

One pair was just not working for all those little feet. We had to go and visit Beth's closet.
The big weekend finale was watching Seth and Carolyn in their Primary Program. They knew their parts perfectly and sang beautifully. I was so grateful to be surrounded by all my children and grandchildren. It just doesn't get any better than to be at the right place on Sunday morning with your entire family. I am so thankful for my wonderful children and the joy they bring me. It is just a little bit of Heaven on earth.
The darling little brown Polka Dot dresses were made my Kristen for all the girls to wear to church today. She also made the cutest matching hair bows.
We are so proud of Natalie for going to her new nursery class today with out any tears. (She even wanted everyone to see her picture she colored.)
Well, as always the fun goes way to fast but the nice part is always that little time for a rest.
Sunday afternoon naps are the best!

Thank's to all my children and grandchildren for a wonderful weekend!

Employee of the Month

I got employee of the month today at work!
(I figured I better take a pic before the flowers shrivel. I don't have a green thumb.) It came with such a cute cup and saucer too. I also got some nice gift cards.

Come on over and we will go have a treat together.

All this yellow made me think of Jacob and Grandma.

Waiting for the weekend!

I am so looking forward to Friday coming. We are blessed to be over the sick germs at our house and keep praying we all will stay healthy and well as the season moves along.
I can hardly wait to see my Grandbailey's and visit Beth and Rob in their new house. (I have a few bags of surprises and goodies that are sure to be a hit!) I can hardly wait to play with everyone. I am excited that David and Jerry can go enjoy Gamecock football with Jacob. I am thankful that I will get to see Jared and Kristen and Chloe again and celebrate Kristen's birthday. I will be happy to see Will on Sunday ( He is heading this way on Friday for a Young Single Adult activity, while I go that way. Sometimes it is just difficult to get everyone's schedule to work out. We will look forward to everyone being together on Sunday and enjoy watching Seth and Carolyn in their Primary program.
We also are planning to visit Libbi on Saturday and see her beautiful new home. (I here Grandma Ard has a ticket on the train and is headed to Columbia too. SO much fun is near!)
Other wonderful news is my niece Charity had a teeny sweet baby girl-Lorelei that we will visit on our way back Sunday.
Two days more and counting!

Not exactly as planned

I was so excited for the labor day weekend to arrive. David would have all his brothers home for a few days of fun. Great plans had to be altered just a bit. Poor David got sick and it just went down hill until Sunday night we had to go make a visit to Urgent care. He was quarantined to his room and out came the lysol, and face mask and tylenol.
The results were in.
David missed all the family meals. He didn't get to play with cute little Chloe.
In Grandaddy's chair

Chloe likes the Elmo "Happy book".
Everyone loved the rockers. Chloe found it a great way to take a nap.
Will never to be lost again- thanks to his new GPS!
Jared still entertains us with good music and song.

Jacob enjoying his morning juice on the porch.
I think Chloe is having a happy day at Grammy and Grandaddy's house.

Chloe is so cute checking out her new Polka dot dress!
Jared and Chloe ready for church.
Kristen looked so cute in her purple dress. I loved Jared's matching tie.
Will loves to have Sunday Dinner at it's best! We went Ninna style today.
David is improving today with no fever. (No photos, he refused. I think grumpiness may be a good sign he is getting better.)
