Playing with our Bailey Bunch

Lots of smiles after our first day on the beach.

Seth enjoying the fireworks from our front yard on the 4th.

Carolyn's long blond hair was a good match for her beach tan.
( She is the only one in her family that tans naturally and doesn't burn.)

Kaitlyn found a great way to relax in the pool

Natalie chillin on the float

Alee and David on the sun deck at the campground
visiting Jean and family.

The indoor pool at the campground was a nice break from the beaming sun
Walking to the waves

Jumping the waves

Keeping cool in the water puddles

Building drip castles

Kaitlyn needed just a little more sand in her hair!

Seth was so excited about his newly found sea creature
He made a home for his little crab in a cup but he soon discovered that its survival rate was much better in the ocean.

Natalie's little red wet curls were so cute

We made sure we scheduled in a beach photo shoot so Beth could
have baby Alee in a new family picture. It was quiet an adventurous evening
but we did get in a few cute pics.

The days always rush by when we are having fun but so thankful the memories last forever!

Lovin these flip flop summer days :)

Summer days of June

My summer started out with a week in the wilderness. I loved the girls but the bugs and woods were not for me.
I did enjoy the time with my friends from Hartsville. Pat was my cabin buddy.
Tracy helped me survive the tick that decided to crawl on me!
Summer is my new counselor in YW and is still as sweet as ever.
Terry is still the # 1 camper and loves the girls camp!

I think this is where a spider decided to come visit me.
I returned on Saturday and enjoyed Father's day with Will coming home.
I treated Daddy and Floyd to Father's Day dinner and we all enjoyed old home movies afterward.

Beth and Kristen met me at Terry's to pick up the twins. It was fun to see all the babies playing together.
MaMa gets hugs from the twins.
Kaitlyn and Natalie all ready to go to the outlets and look for princess dresses.
Still watching my lemon tree grow. Amazing that it has survived so far!
Look! It even has some lemons growing. Looks like we might have real lemonade soon.

Natalie and I decided we needed to post these pics for Carolyn. One of her little friends came to see us on the back porch this morning.
Looks like he is having a "hoppy" morning:)

Memorial Day weekend

We welcomed our first guest of the season to the "Edwards bed and breakfast" for Memorial Day weekend. Kristen, Jared and Chloe brought Kristen's sister Lindsey, husband Justin and adorable baby Logan down to enjoy the beach. Glad the weather cooperated. Take a look at Chloe's darling beach hat. I think it is just the cutest ever!

Love that sand between our toes

Feeling the water

The cutest hat ever!

Sound of your voice

I love the sound of familiar voices. I just think we sometimes forget how good the sound of someone's voice feels. The sound of kindness in their voice, or comfort or laughter or excitement. I don't have to look down at my caller id b/c I know that voice. It is the one that is making me smile on the other end of the phone because they took the time to call. It is the one that wanted to share something special with me or needed my opinion or perhaps just wanted to see if I was having a good day. I am a great fan of blogs and facebook and love reading news from family and friends but it will never replace the sound of your voice. Thank you for taking the time to call me.

Mother's Day blessings

Our home was filled with all our children and grandchildren for Mother's day weekend. We had sleeping quarters in every corner! We enjoyed the beach and spending time together. Sunday we all made it to church on time and filled up a couple of pews. After church we had our big dinner and then I announced that whatever males in the house loved their mothers and wives would be doing the dishes.
We females are so glad we are so loved! Take a look...

They did such a grand job!

Right down to a sparkle and shine!

I love Mother, she loves me, we are a happy family.

Mother dear I love you so, your happy smiling face...

I am so thankful to my Heavenly Father for giving me the opportunity to be the mother to my 5 special spirits. They fill my heart and soul beyond measure.
I love you...my sweet children!
Thank you for becoming all that I ever hoped for.
