Summer week 6

Will and Madyson made it down on Monday, July 11 to have their week at the beach.  Madyson was excited to find her favorite dessert!
Then Madyson wanted to turn our little porch fridge from rusty to wonderful and that she did!
Every evening she worked on her design while Will kept her company.

What a transformation!  Each family member is represented on her design.

Then we had some fun at the beach and bowling and shelling!

Will and Madyson are quiet creative with their shell painting:)

We visited with Daddy Tom

Enjoyed an ice cream treat and ocean view
 Found some cool shells

Glad Will and Mady could have a week of sunshiny days:)

Summer week 5

Wow, how summer is moving so swiftly.  Guess that is what happens when you are having so much fun with family visits.

David arrived on Friday to spend a long weekend with us and enjoy the 4th of July.  We started out by going to Coastal Carolina and cheering their baseball team home who won the world series!  It was so HOT but really fun to be there and see the excitement of a hometown winning something that big for the 1st time.

One guy was giving out Teal iced donuts so David took advantage of that treat!

Way to go Chants!!

DT was not able to go all the way to the stands but found a great swing in the shade to sit and watch all the team go by.

2016 Champions

To cool off after such a hot day, David decided an evening trip to the pool would be nice.

On Saturday morning, David and I headed to the beach to enjoy the ocean breeze and sunshine

We took David out to his favorite seafood restaurant in Calabash, NC

Before heading out on a shopping trip we had an unwanted visitor on our driveway!  Thank goodness David took care of that for me!!

It was a beautiful windy Sunday at church.  David found a great  tie on our shopping trip Saturday to bring out the Holiday- Red, White and Blue.  So grateful to live in the land of the free!

David wanted some Handy Pak Hot dogs for the 4th so Jerry made his famous chili.

We enjoyed one of David's favorite games.

Watching the evening fireworks at the beach is always a great way to end the 4th.

Our family always stops to remember our Noah on his day- July 6.  We are grateful families are forever and we send up smiles to him each year.

This picture was the best!  As we let go our our little balloon go it just stopped to peak back at us and then floated so high in the sky right to the clouds.  It was a happy moment as we watched it soar toward Noah up above:)

Mom and Nathan came down on Thursday and LaNelle and Steven, Kinsley and Brooks. Kinsley's one food request was my pound cake, her favorite food .  I made sure I had that ready on her arrival:)

Baby Brooks was the sweetest baby boy.  He always has a smile:)

Mom was ready for the beach in her cute beach hat!

Brooks loved the ocean!

SO fun to spend time with LaNelle, Steven, Kinsley and Brooks:)

Kinsley was enjoying making us some pretend lunch!

Summer week 4

Beach time with our Bailey Bunch!

Beth and family came down on Sunday and stayed until Thursday.
We filled each day with  plenty of activities.
The weather stayed nice and each day we were able to enjoy our outside events.

Family stroll on the beach

Seth's favorite beach activity is catching fish.  He is getting pretty skilled at it too!
His sisters like to join in on the fun.

Seeing whose feet will disappear first.

Alee - surfer girl

Pool fun

Beth decided her towel needed to become her blanket after getting out of the pool.

Beth was the official timer for the holding breath under water!

Noodle reaching challenge

Carolyn and Kaitlyn made our traditional monkey bread muffins one morning for breakfast.

Mini Golf was a big hit.  Everyone was working hard on mastering the course.

Alee was the only one to get a HOLE in ONE! She was loving that:)

Beth was busy being the family photographer.

The volcano eruption was cool.  Carolyn and Kaitlyn were waiting on it to happen.

Rob was the real skilled golfer who finished the day with 2 over par!

5 out of 6 smiles is pretty good... Alee was pretty much done with this activity!

DT came over to visit and enjoyed watching the memory DVD that Beth put together for him.
She had interviewed him in the spring and made a DVD of it.  A great keepsake for generations to enjoy and get to know Daddy Tom!

Their final day we enjoyed a picnic  and play in the park.

Loved our flip flop days of fun!
